I have had the privilege of living in many different places in my life. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to Florida, US when I was a teenager. After 14 years in Sunny South Florida, I moved to Spain with my husband and our children. Two years after living in Madrid, we decided to come back to the US and lived in lovely NYC. Now, I am currently living in Temecula, California. The experience of living in such different places is so enriching. They absolutely become a part of you! And I believe photography has helped me connect myself to these places. It became a way of capturing their essence. It also made me more passionate about traveling and discovering the beauty in each culture. The more places I visit, the more I want to see.
So, photography became my outlet, my inspiration and my way of making these cities my new home. But photography has always amazed me. The fact that you can freeze a moment forever, document a moment in time in such a clear way will always blow my mind. It started as a hobby and then it became my profession. After I obtained my B.A. in Psychology in Florida, I completed the Professional Photography program at EFTI in Madrid. Then later on, I received training at the International Center of Photography in New York City. My photos go beyond just recording a moment. I find myself engaged in details and sensations that perhaps a less careful observer would overlook. I am inspired by people, food, moments and places. I find myself learning how to predict moments to turn them into a work of art. I find myself seeing light in a different way. I am happy that many times I find myself keeping moments that we lose to memory.
WHAT MAKES MY HEART SMILE!
My little boy’s kisses
My daughter’s heart beating strongly everyday
My stepson's hugs and soccer goals
An unplanned trip or any travel adventure
A blooming garden
A romantic dinner with my husband
A pair of new nude shoes
And of course, dessert!
